Hi, I’m Andy. I provide fee-only tax-efficient retirement planning & investment management through my company, Tenon Financial, in Iselin, NJ. Tenon Financial is unique in that I incorporate careful long-term tax-minimization planning throughout all aspects of clients’ financial lives and planning needs. Additionally, I firmly feel that fees based on asset size are illogical and silly. Therefore, I charge a flat annual fee that is not tied to portfolio size.
Prior to starting Tenon Financial in 2019, I spent nearly 20 years working in various institutional banking, investment analysis, and risk management roles. My experiences include positions with Prudential Financial, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, and a few European and Japanese corporate and investment banks. Additionally, I’ve also taught multiple semesters as an adjunct lecturer for the finance department of Rutgers Business School. Furthermore, I own a tax return preparation company, Tenon Tax Preparation.
In 2000, I graduated from the University of Delaware with an undergraduate degree in Finance. In 2004, I earned an MBA with a concentration in Finance from Rutgers Business School. My professional designations include the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and Retirement Income Certified Professional® credentials. Additionally, I am an Enrolled Agent, which is the highest credential awarded by the IRS.
I was born and raised in Woodbridge, NJ and now live in Edison, NJ with my wife and two daughters. Outside of work, I enjoy live music (especially outdoor concerts at Stone Pony’s Summer Stage in Asbury Park). I’m also an avid road cyclist, an ardent woodworker, and the proud “prop dad” for my daughter’s competitive dance team.
